ZANESVILLE — When Rosecrans gets the long ball going, the opposition is usually in trouble.
Fairfield Christian can attest to that.
Weston Hartman was 8-of-12 on 3-pointers and scored a career-high 30 points, and the Bishops were masterful from behind the arc in all to roll to a 78-52 win in a Mid-State League-Cardinal Division game on Monday night at Rogge Gymnasium.
Rosecrans, which improved to 7-1, shot 56 percent from the field on an efficient 26-of-46. The Bishops made more 3s than it missed, connecting on 14 of 26, including 8 of 14 before halftime.
Hartman hit six of his 3s in that span, as Rosecrans built an 18-11 lead after a quarter, then scored 24 second-quarter points — Hartman had 13 with a trio of 3s — to open up a 42-26 advantage that proved more than enough.
