Plenty was on the line when the Norwell and East Bridgewater High girls basketball teams met on Monday night.
Both teams came in with one loss and first place in the South Shore League Sullivan Division was on the line. Norwell (17-1, 11-0) remained undefeated in league play with a 56-47 win.

Junior Grace Oliver starred with 34 points and 17 rebounds. Freshman Maddie Oliver chipped in with 14 points.

Anna Kirchner, Chloe Kirchner, Ellie Phillips, Chloe Richardson, Sara Cashin and Reagan Dowd played well defensively for Norwell.
The Vikings drop to 16-2, 10-2 in the SSL. Sophie Bradbury scored a team-high 19 points for EB. Phoebe Katilus had 10 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
West Bridgewater 39, Avon 22: The Wildcats improved to 15-2. Hanelie Cadet scored 13 points to lead the Panthers while Dahlia Parent played well defensively.
Quincy 48, Hanover 35: Alyssa Hopps (18 points), Caroline Campbell (8) and Caroline Tracey led the way for the Presidents. Dani Tilden scored a team-high 15 points for the Hawks. McKalah Gaine had 12 points and 11 rebounds and McKenzie Foley played well defensively.
Rockland 65, Mashpee 39: The Bulldogs won the South Shore League game.
North Quincy 57, Plymouth South 30: Orlagh Gormley scored 28 points to lead the Raiders (18-0).
Scituate 57, Pembroke 40: Grace McNamara scored 23 points to lead the Sailors. Grace Love drained four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points. Sarah Fogarty and Emilia Rojik scored 8 points apiece.
Rising Tide 34, Sturgis West 24: Eighth-grader Johnny Tompkins scored 18 points for the Lady Herons (12-4) while freshman Edie Picard added 8. Sienna Picard had 6 steals.
Holbrook 56, Atlantis Charter 26: The Bulldogs picked up the win on Monday.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Holbrook 72, Atlantis Charter 24: The Bulldogs won the game on Monday.
Everett 61, Brockton 50: The Boxers dropped the non-league game.

North Quincy 73, Duxbury 42: Daithi Quinn scored a game-high 18 points for the Raiders (14-4, 11-3 in Patriot League). Luke Pierron scored a career-high 11 points. Kobe Nguyen (5 assists) and Zach Taylor both scored 9 points. Alex Barlow and Tate Fiedler each had 9 for the Dragons.
Hanover 52, Quincy 46 (OT): Mike Lawson scored 16 points for Quincy in the loss.
Rockland 57, Mashpee 24: The Bulldogs won the South Shore League game.
BOYS HOCKEY
Archbishop Williams 6, Bishop Feehan 2: The Bishops fell behind 2-1 but answered with five consecutive goals. Ben Sylvester, Matt Keenan (two), Barry Page, Jackson Sylvester and Finn Kelly scored for Archies.
Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth 5, Stoughton/Brockton 2: Thomas Mondeau scored two goals in the win while Dalton Ghelfi, Nick Sturdevant (four assists) and Dan Manning had solo tallies. Cooper Card and Ryan Summers scored in the loss.
Oliver Ames 8, Swampscott 3: Sean McCarthy had a had trick and Andrew Livingstone added two goals for OA. Matt Lawson, Jack Perron and Patrick DeLoughrey each had solo tallies.
Glouchester 6, BC High 5: The Eagles dropped the non-league game.
