The school’s Oxbridge co-ordinator, Fiona Price, said: “We’re delighted that after a record seven offers last year, our students have continued to be highly successful in gaining Oxbridge offers across a range of science and humanities subjects.
“These students have worked exceptionally hard through all the unique difficulties of the past two years, including school closures, remote learning and virtual interviews, to impress admissions tutors with their potential.
“Part of their success is the full use they have made of all the support offered by our staff and of the numerous enrichment opportunities, most still virtual, to develop their academic ability, such as involvement with societies, external speakers, summer schools and wider reading. We look forward to their continued hard work so that their places are confirmed in the summer.”
Head of sixth form Rob Stark said: “These conditional offers are a real testament to their immense commitment to academic excellence and, alongside their teachers, I know they will work tirelessly to achieve the grades required.”
