In her family life, Kimberly excelled in creating a loving and caring home environment for her children to grow and thrive. Born of her passions for art, Kim taught art classes at all her children’s elementary schools. In early 2000, Kim began a meaningful 17-year position teaching eighth graders at Nativity Catholic school with a focus on Language Arts, Humanities, Art, and History. Kim positively adored her students, and was cherished by them in return.
Whether it was Nativity Catholic School, her Latter Day Saint community, the yoga classes she attended, or the meaningful connections she often made along the way, Kim had a remarkable ability to bring out the best in those around her.
Kim maintained a deep love for everyone, a gracious nature, and an extraordinary capacity to empathize and walk with others. She understood in the deepest way possible, what it means to be human.
Each one of us felt that we were Kim’s favorite child, sibling, student, or friend. She had an innate ability to love others unconditionally, and it drew others to her.
Through three rounds of chemotherapy due to recurrent ovarian cancer and end stage renal disease, Kim faced incredible challenges with a sense of unyielding strength, dignity, and grace.
