ROCKWELL CITY — Judy (Jones) Ellis, 81, arrived into the fullness of God’s love surrounded by her loved ones on November 16, 2021. Judy’s gift was to see beauty in all things and in all people, but today most likely surpassed any of her expectations. Judy was born on July 16, 1940 to Albert and Julia (Dowling) Jones. She delighted in studying and learning all she could about her family tree. On December 31, 1958 Judy gave up her maiden name when she married D. Dean Ellis. They made their home in Rockwell City and spent the next 62 years creating a lifetime of love through farming, antiquing, creating, praying and raising 7 children. Their lives have been blessed with 7 more children by marriage, 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, with two more on the way. Judy was and forever will be known as the heart of our family. Her love for each of us is deep and wide. Our lives were made better because we were able to call her mom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Monday, November 22 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Rockwell City, where Judy and Dean have been members since united in marriage, with Father Larry McCarty officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 21, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at St. Francis Church, Rockwell City, with a Vigil Prayer service beginning at 6:00 PM. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home is lovingly serving the family.
