John Bishop came under fire from some fans after saying it was “brilliant” that his chat show audience could watch the show without masks for the first time

“This is great now the masks are off,” the comedian said during his stand-up.
He joked about being able to walk past people in the street and smile, and that those in London could just walk past people in the street.
But the tone did not go down well with some viewers who took to Twitter to criticise the comedian.
Jacinta Foxton-Locks wrote on Twitter: “Does @JohnBishop100 realise that people are still dying from #COVID19 every day? #JohnBishopShow.”
“Not sure John Bishop’s intro of ‘woohoo, nobody’s wearing a mask in this crowded studio’ is the best idea. Let’s hope we don’t get headlines of ‘superspreader tv show’ in five days time. #JohnBishopShow,” Journobird said.
And Ian added: “#JohnBishopShow idiot comedian clapping the audience for not wearing masks. Changed channel #COVIDIDIOTS.”
