Cooking oil prices soar in Indonesia
Indonesia is facing skyrocketing cooking oil prices despite producing about 60 per cent of global palm oil supplies. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has squeezed the supply of other oilseeds, is forcing more exports. Small businesses and poor households are the first casualties of the rising prices.
