The Crookston High School is opening its Weight Room for all High School students to use this summer. The Room will be open Monday through Friday for 9th-12th grade students from 6:00 to 7:15 a.m. or 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. and Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for 7th and 8th-grade students from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Eat United Summer Food Service is back at the park for summer 2022! Crookston Public Schools, in partnership with the United Way of Crookston, will be offering free summer meals to all children ages 0-18 at Ray Ecklund Park Complex this summer! The program will run Monday-Thursday from June 6 – July 28. Meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please note that pre-pandemic guidelines will be enforced, including that children must be present to receive a meal, one meal per child, and meals must be consumed on-site. There is NO grab and go option for the summer of 2022.

Twig and Branch Collection will be held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, running from May through October. Place the materials on your curbside. Branches must be cut into four-foot lengths and bundled in order for the crews to take them away. Any branches or tree trunks not cut to this length and bundled will be left for the owner to haul away. Twigs may be in boxes or bags. Individuals removing their diseased elm trees should call City Hall to schedule a pickup.
Second booster doses of Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are now available at Altru Clinic in Crookston for people 50 and older and those 12 and older who are immunocompromised. The second booster dose must be administered at least four months after the first booster. Adults who received Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) for their primary vaccine and booster dose at least four months ago may now receive a second booster dose of Pfizer or Moderna only.
