At least two B1G schools are reportedly in contact with Christian Bishop, an experienced forward transfer out of Creighton.

According to Dushawn London with 247 Sports, Minnesota and Illinois are among the teams to be in contact with the junior forward. A number of SEC teams, along with Wake Forest and UNLV, are also on the list.

Bishop averaged 11 points per game to go with 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and a block. He put up 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists in an NCAA Tournament loss to Gonzaga. Bishop’s season-high for points as 19 on the road against UConn.

Illinois is likely losing a number of key pieces from a team that earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament after a run through the B1G Tournament. Meanwhile, Minnesota is looking to build a roster under new head coach Ben Johnson with a number of Gophers entering the transfer portal since the end of the season.

In his career, Bishop has appeared in 90 games with 62 starts. He has career averages of 8.0 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 65% from the floor.

A 6-foot-7 forward, Bishop was a three-star recruit for the 2018 recruiting class out of Lees Summit, Missouri.
